Dr. Christina Strobel
Dr. Christina Strobel is a leading voice on the socio-technical ecosystem of AI and algorithm accountability. She is the founder of AlgoTrust.
Recognized for her knowledge in qualitative methods, mechanical engineering and economics Dr. Christina Strobel spent several years doing quantitative research on how Artificial Intelligence influences human behavior. She did a PhD at the International Max Planck Research School on Adapting Behavior in a Fundamentally Uncertain World at the Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena and spent some time in the US as a guest researcher at Yale University. Afterwards she worked at Google before founding AlgoTrust in 2021. In addition, she is a postdoctoral researcher at Hamburg University of Technology. In her research, she address some of the challenges raised by the use of AI system. Her methods include e.g. running online experiments, laboratory studies and surveys. Her multidisciplinary background as a Digital Economist and Machine Behavior Scientist allows her to develop scientific-based but practical solutions for your company. Her combined expertise gives her a uniquely balanced perspective for gleaning wisdom from the intersection between human imagination and digital systems. Furthermore, she is a Fellow at ForHumanity, member of the European AI Alliance and the KI-Bundesverband (Germanys largest AI related company network), member of the DIN Expert Group AI Standardization and Conformity and the international Human Centered Artificial Intelligence (HCAI) working group.
